Problem
Some users see the message:
“Successfully terminated session, goodbye.”
This happens when they try to complete MFA or right after entering their MFA code.
Cause
This issue occurs when the mobile device time is not correctly synced.
Since MFA codes are time-based, even a small difference in the phone’s time can cause the authentication token to be rejected.
As a result, the session terminates and shows the message above.
Resolution
Advise the user to:
Restart the mobile device
This forces the phone to automatically resync time with the network.
Ensure “Automatic Date & Time” is enabled
Ensures MFA codes are generated with correct timing.
Try logging in again.
If still issue persists, restart MFA and check.
