Once you reset your password using the admin panel, webmail or the "Forgot Password" feature, 


Follow these steps to update it in the Gmail mobile app: 



1. Open Gmail:

  • Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.

2. Access Settings:

  • Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen.

3. Go to Settings:

  • Scroll down and select Settings from the bottom.

4. Select Account:

  • Choose the email account you wish to update.

5. Update Incoming Mail Settings:

  • Tap Incoming Mail Settings.

  • Delete the old password and enter your newly reset password.

  • Tap Done to save the changes.

6. Update Outgoing Mail Settings:

  • Similarly, go to Outgoing Mail Settings and update the password there as well.


How to Check if the Password is Incorrect in Gmail Mobile App

To check if the updated password is working properly:

  1. Send a Test Email:

    • Try sending an email from your Gmail app.

  2. Look for Error Notification:

    • If the password is incorrect, the email will be placed in the Outbox.

    • You’ll receive a “Credentials Needed” notification, indicating that the password needs to be updated.
