Outlook is unable to connect to the mail server. This is usually due to:
- No internet connection
- Incorrect Outlook configuration
- Blocked ports by firewall/antivirus
- Corrupt Outlook profile or PST/OST file
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Check Internet Connection – Make sure the system is online.
- Verify Mail Server Settings – Go to File > Account Settings > Server Settings
- Ensure the incoming/outgoing server names, ports, and encryption type are correct as below
- Incoming and outgoing server name: gnal.mithiskyconnect.com
- Incoming Port: IMAP 993SSL POP995SSL
- Outgoing port: 587 STARTLS or 465 SSL/TLS
- Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily – These might be blocking Outlook from reaching the server.
- Test via Webmail – If webmail works, it indicates the issue is with Outlook configuration or the local device.
- Start Outlook in Safe Mode
- outlook.exe /safe - This helps to check if an add-in is causing issues.
- Repair Outlook Profile – Go to Control Panel > Mail > Profiles and repair the current profile.
