Symptoms

  • All or some users of your domain are receiving unwanted/ suspicious mail from ids of a foreign domain. 
  • Few users are receiving unwanted/ suspicious mail from ids of an external domain.

Solution

Option 1: Blacklist the domain for all users of your domain

Raise a ticket to blacklist the sender domain name.

The Mithi team will backlist the domain on the Secure Mailflow system. After blacklisting the domain, no users from the blacklisted domain will be able to send any mail to any user on your domain.


Option 2: Blacklist the domain for few users of your domain

Raise a ticket to blacklist the domain. Specify the sender domain name and the recipient user ids to configure a mail policy which will allow mail from all the domains except the domain to be blocked.


After applying the mail policy, no users from the blacklisted domain will be able to send any mail to the recipient user ids specified.


Note: Mail policies are configurable via the back-end and we request you fill this spreadsheet with the details and raise a ticket to the Mithi Support team. The team will configure the same for you.
